Hot Reels Sportfishing is a world class operation based out of Point Judith, Rhode Island. we specialize in North east canyon deep dropping for swordfish!   We offer our clients some of the  best techniques and the finest fishing gear on the market.  This season we will be featuring all Talica and Stella reels by Shimano..... State of the art rods and reels and can tailor our boat to any type of inshore or offshore fishing.  Jig and pop, live bait fishing , and trolling....

 The 38 open is a 60mph fishing machine!!!! We get you to the fish fast ...so you spend more time on the fish and less time running...  We are clean,  efficient and NO diesel smell all day.

TYPES OF TRIPS WE OFFER

Daytime deep drop swordfishing.. NE canyon style...

Offshore Canyon .... Roughly 100 miles offshore lies the continental shelf ..here upwellings make huge concentrations of bait that attract all big pelagic predators.. This trip is the ultimate in bluewater fishing ...you will encounter yellowfin, albacore, Bigeye tuna, swordfish, marlin, wahoo, mahi mahi and many sharks. These trips can be tailored to day trips or overnight. All aspects of fishing will be applied . bait, trolling and Jigging light tackle.

Offshore  ... This trip will focus on light tackle opportunity fishing for our big pelagic species such as...mahi mahi, albacore and yellowfin tuna...also mako and thresher sharks. This trip is roughly 50-60 miles from port.

Shark and Cod fishing ... These trips are popular due to the short range of 30 miles from shore and very affordable. We will fish for Mako and Thresher sharks aboard the 5 time tournament winner Hot ReeLs. We often split these trips into a tuna/shark/cod day.  focusing on all three types of  fishing that break up the day.

Inshore ... Fishing the waters south of RI out to Block Island we focus the mornings on big striped bass , bluefish, bonito , and finsh the day with fluke and sea bass.  All fishing methods are used such as topwater plugging the rips or backside of the island...to eel and bait fish..

Spearfishing ... We offer both bluewater and inshore spearfishing ...for species such as mahi mahi, tunas, and Block Striped bass.. Experienced divers only.  You are required to bring your own gear.
